Background

Some motion is so slow that we cannot perceive it. Think of a plant bending its leaves toward the direction of sunlight. Most plants move their leaves extremely slowly, so slowly in fact that human eyes do not perceive the motion. Only when we view a plant through time-lapse photography do we know that it is actually moving.

Instead of an plant leave moving, we will use time-lapse photography of the sky. Clouds move, but there is much more motion than we normally pick up. The video on the next tab will start out at normal speed and then go to time-lapse. How des that change your perception of the motion?

Time-Lapse Video

The video will start out and end at normal speed. In between, the video will be a time-lapse video. See you much more complex the motion of the clouds appear when presented in time-lapse.
